Hedging

Hedging

What type of hedging do I need?

Native Hedging consists of a mix of local shrub and tree species, such as hawthorn, blackthorn, hazel, and field maple. These species are naturally suited to the local environment, making them hardy and resilient. They provide excellent habitat and food sources for local wildlife, supporting biodiversity. Native hedges also tend to be more diverse in appearance, offering seasonal color changes and varied textures.

Beech Hedging, on the other hand, is characterized by its dense, uniform foliage and its striking year-round appeal. Beech hedges retain their coppery leaves through winter, providing a colorful and attractive hedge even in colder months. Beech is ideal for a more formal look and thrives well in many soil types, though it prefers well-drained soil. It’s also relatively low-maintenance and can be shaped easily, making it a popular choice for garden borders and screening.

Local Production with Biosecurity Measures

At Trees Please, all plants are meticulously grown within the UK, specifically in the fertile grounds of the Tyne Valley. This strategic choice of location ensures that every plant is naturally acclimated to the local conditions, fostering stronger and more resilient growth.

This local cultivation practice not only enhances the adaptability and health of the plants but also supports sustainable farming by reducing transportation distances and related carbon footprints.
