Beech Hedging Packs (Fagus sylvatica) 20-60cm
One of the UK’s most majestic trees which can grow up to 25 metres in heigh if left as a stand alone tree. It is also a very popular hedging option as it offers plenty of cover with fabulous autumn colours. Its dense foliage, which stays on the trees for most of the year, gives good screening as well as attracting numerous birds and squirrels.
Soil Type/Habitat: Beech grows best on well drained, dry soils. Heavy clay soils must be avoided. Shade tolerant but with a slow growth rate.
